Troubleshooting.
Burnt hits, leaks, spitting, coughing, lost flavour. The five fixes that solve almost every kit problem.
Most vape problems are one of about five things, and four of them are quick fixes. Burnt taste, leaks, gurgling, weak flavour, a pod that will not fire. This pathway walks through the everyday symptoms and the small adjustments that resolve them, in the order we would check them for you at the counter.
Who this is for

- 02Why Does My Vape Leak?If your pod or tank is leaking and you're starting to wonder if the device is just bad, slow down. Most leaks come from a worn pod, overfilling, heat, the wrong pod for your kit, or a damaged seal. All five are fixable. This walks through how to tell which one is happening to you.5 min read
- 03Why Is My Vape Spitting Hot Juice?Hot juice popping into your mouth is annoying, occasionally a little painful, and almost always a flooding problem. The coil heats up, hits droplets that haven't soaked into the cotton yet, and shoots them up the chimney. This walks through what causes it, the quick fixes that usually work, and when the pod or device is the actual problem.4 min read
- 04Why Am I Coughing When I Vape?Coughing happens to a lot of people switching from cigarettes. Usually it's nicotine that's too strong, a device that's too cloudy, or pulling on it like you're hitting a smoke. None of those mean vaping won't work for you. This walks through the usual causes and what to try next.5 min read
- 05Why Does My Vape Lose Flavour?Flavour fade happens to almost everyone. Sometimes it's the pod or coil. Sometimes the juice. Sometimes your mouth is just done tasting it for a bit. Don't assume the bottle is bad before you check the simple stuff. Most of the time the fix is small.5 min read

- Why Pods Burn OutPods don't last forever, and some juices kill them faster than others. This is the practical version: what burnt actually means, what you can change to stretch a pod, and when to stop fighting it and just swap.
- How Long Do Pods and Coils Last? There's no exact answer. Some people kill a pod in two days, some get two weeks. The juice you run, your wattage, how often you pull, and how you handle a fresh pod all change the math. This is what actually moves the dial.
- How To Make Pods Last LongerMost pods eventually burn out. Some people kill one in two days. Others get two weeks out of the same pod on the same juice. Habits matter more than people think. None of this is hard, but a few things help.
- Why Is My Vape Gurgling?Gurgling is a small wet bubble bursting on the pull, sometimes followed by a drop of liquid in your mouth. It almost always means the same thing: there is more liquid sitting around the coil than the coil can vaporize. Most fixes take less than a minute. A flooded pod is one of the easier vape problems to deal with once you know what is actually going on.
- Why Does My Vape Leak?A leaky vape is almost never a defective product. Nine times out of ten it is one of a handful of everyday causes: too much liquid in the pod, a tired seal, a temperature swing, or a pod that has simply run its course. This guide walks through what to look for and what to do about it, in the same order we would check it for you at the counter.
- Why Does My Vape Make Crackling Sounds?A gentle crackle on the inhale is one of the most common things people notice on their first kit, and it almost always means everything is working as designed. The sound is the liquid boiling on the coil, which is exactly the job the coil is meant to do. There are a few specific cases where the sound is louder than it should be, and this guide walks through how to tell normal crackle from a kit that is trying to tell you something.
- Why Isn't My Vape Charging? Before assuming a kit is dead, walk through the four or five things that go wrong before the device itself does. A frayed cable, a port with lint in it, a USB hub that does not deliver enough power, or a safety lockout the kit ran into can all show up as a kit that will not charge. Walking through them in order takes a couple of minutes and almost always finds the answer.
- Why Is My Vape Blinking?Almost every modern vape uses its indicator light to send messages. Low battery, mid-charge, pod not seated, device locked, puff timed out. The exact pattern varies between brands, which is why a blink that means one thing on a Cloud Haven kit can mean something different on a different brand. The good news is that the messages themselves are short and well understood once you know what each kind of blink usually means.
- Why Did My Vape Stop Working Suddenly?A vape that was firing fine an hour ago and now does nothing feels like a dead kit, but it almost never is. Battery, pod contact, lock mode, an empty pod, or a worn coil are the usual suspects, and any one of them can cause the kit to look as though it has given up. Walking through them in order finds the fix in a few minutes; only when all of the simple checks come up empty is the device itself the likely cause.

Quick answers on this topic.
- My kit was fine yesterday and isn't today. What do I check first?
- In this order: charge the battery for five minutes on a known-good cable. If the kit still does nothing, try the unlock pattern (most kits use five quick presses of the fire button). If the kit still does nothing, unseat the pod, wipe both sets of contacts with a dry cotton swab, and refit firmly. Four out of five sudden-failure cases resolve at one of those three steps.
- How do I tell a burnt coil from a burnt bottle?
- Swap to a fresh pod from the pack with the same bottle. If the burnt note disappears, it was the coil. If it comes back, the bottle has gone off or you are using the wrong ratio for the kit. The pod-replacement and dark-juice guides cover the deeper signals to watch for.
- When is it time to stop fixing and replace?
- When a fresh pod and a fresh bottle still produce a burnt or muddy pull, or when the kit drops to zero in under three hours from a full charge, or when no setting change brings the experience back to what it was when the kit was new. Pods and coils are consumable; the kit itself usually lasts a year or two of regular use before it earns replacement.
