Finding the right pods for your device.

Pods aren't universal. Most fit one specific device or one tight family of devices. The same brand making both your kit and your replacement pod isn't always enough. This walks through how to make sure the pack you grab is actually the one that fits.

Quick picks

The short answer, by where you're starting from.

  • 01

    I know my device name

    Match by exact model

Pod packaging will list the model. Match the wording on the pack to the wording on your device.

  • 02

    I only know the brand

    Check the device name first

Brand alone isn't enough. Most brands make several kits and most pods only fit one of them.

  • 03

    I'm not sure

    Ask before opening the pack

Bring the device in or message us. We'd rather double-check than have you stuck with an opened pack that doesn't fit.

Pods are not universal.

A vape pod is a small plastic cartridge with a coil and a mouthpiece built in. It clicks into a specific device with metal contacts in specific places. Most pods are designed for one device or one tight family. The same brand making both your kit and your replacement pod isn't enough on its own. Uwell, for example, makes pods that fit the Caliburn G2 but won't fit the Caliburn A2, even though both sit in the same Caliburn family.

02 / 05

Match the full device name, not just the brand.

This is the most common mistake. Someone walks in and says 'I need pods for my Uwell.' Uwell makes a dozen kits. The model name is what the pod has to match. Look at the device itself for the engraved or printed name, the original box if you still have it, the receipt, or an empty pod pack from before. Caliburn lines get confused often: Caliburn, Caliburn G, Caliburn G2, Caliburn G3, Caliburn A2 each take a slightly different pod.

03 / 05

Check resistance when the device offers a choice.

Some pod systems ship with two pod options at different resistances, measured in ohms (written like 0.6Ω or 1.2Ω). Lower ohms heat up faster and produce warmer, bigger pulls with shorter coil life. Higher ohms heat slower and produce tighter, smoother pulls with longer coil life. Most kits ship with one of each so you can try both. There's no wrong choice. It's preference.

Don’t force a pod that almost fits.

If a pod doesn't click in with a clean snap, stop. Forcing it bends the contacts, scrapes the seal, and damages both the pod and the device. Same goes for a pod that clicks but won't fire. That's the contacts not lining up, which means the pod isn't actually compatible even if the shape looks close. Leaking right out of the box is another sign. The seal at the pod's base is shaped for a specific pod profile. A near-match doesn't trap liquid the same way.

Wrong pod

  • Click — almost fits but doesn't snap cleanly
  • Firing — device may not register the pod
  • Leaking — starts immediately, often before the first pull
  • Connection — weak or intermittent contact
  • Risk — can bend the device's contacts over time

Right pod

  • Click — snaps in cleanly, sits flush
  • Firing — device reads it on the first pull
  • Leaking — seal stays dry around the pod base
  • Connection — consistent, no draw weirdness
  • Match — model wording on the pack matches the device

The simple way to buy the right pods.

Three quick checks before you order or open a pack.

The model name on the pod packaging matches your device's model name exactly. 'Caliburn G3 Pods' goes with a Caliburn G3, not a Caliburn G2.

The image on the pack looks like the pod that came in your original kit, including the mouthpiece shape, the contact pin layout, and the fill port location.

If you're not sure, ask. We'd rather double-check than have you bring back an opened pack.

If you're shopping with us, the product page lists confirmed-compatible devices for each pod. If your kit isn't on the list, message us before ordering. Pods that look identical sometimes run different coil specs underneath.

  • Are vape pods universal?

No. Most pods are designed to fit one specific device or one tight family. The shape, the contact layout, and the seal at the base all have to match. Pods from the same brand often won't cross-fit between models.

  • Can pods from the same brand fit different devices?

Sometimes within a tight family. Early Caliburn G and G2 are an example. But mostly no. Brand alone isn't the deciding factor. The model name has to match. The product page on this site lists which devices each pod fits.

  • What does ohm mean on a pod?

Ohms (Ω) measure the resistance of the coil inside the pod. Lower ohms (around 0.6) heat up faster and give warmer, bigger pulls. Higher ohms (around 1.0 to 1.2) heat slower and give tighter, cooler pulls with longer coil life. Most kits ship with one of each so you can pick by feel.

  • Why is my new pod leaking right away?

Three usual causes. The seal isn't flush, often because the pod isn't quite the right model for your device. The cotton was overfilled before priming. Or the device is overheating the juice faster than the wick can keep up. A leak that starts before you've even fired the device usually points at compatibility first.

  • How do I know which pod to buy?

Find the exact model name on your device, then search for that wording in the pod listings. The pack name should include the same model. If you're shopping in person, bring the device or an empty pod pack with you. If shopping online and you're not sure, contact us before ordering.
